EASTERN WRESTLING LEAGUE WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Our EWL Wrestler of the Week for the week ended January 8, 2012, is Seth Creasy, from Mercer, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Creasy is a senior at Lock Haven University, competes at 165 pounds, and, by the way, carriers a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 for his college career.

This past week the Bald Eagles traveled to the State of Illinois, and took on the University of Illinois on January 7th and then grappled Northern Illinois University on January 8th.  Lock Haven dropped the two dual meets, but Seth Creasy won both of his bouts.  Against Illinois Creasy beat Adam Acheson by a score of 9-7 and the next day defeated Dan Burk 7-1.

Lock Haven head coach Robbie Waller is pleased with his “A” student Creasy, noting, “Seth has been an invaluable part of the Bald Eagle wrestling program the past four years.  His continuous improvement each year is a testament to his work ethic and discipline both on and off the mat.”

Congratulations to Seth Creasy, our EWL Wrestler of the Week.

We also tip our EWL headgear to the Bloomsburg University and the University of Pittsburgh wrestling teams.  This past weekend, the Huskies traveled down south to compete in the North Carolina State University Duals, and the Panthers stayed home to wrestle in their University of Pittsburgh dual meet event.  Both teams went undefeated with four dual meet victories each.

Come on out this season and support your favorite wrestling teams.  America needs wrestling!
