EASTERN WRESTLING LEAGUE WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Our EWL Wrestler of the Week for the week ended January 31, 2010, is Clint Podish.  Podish is from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and competes at 184 pounds for Clarion University.

 This past weekend the Clarion Golden Eagles winged east and wrestled dual meets against Bloomsburg, Princeton and Rider.  They beat Bloomsburg 22-17 (raising their EWL won/lost record to 2-1), defeated Princeton 38-6, but were edged by Rider University 25-19.  In those three meets, Mr. Podish went 3-0, racking up three solid decisions by scores of 6-1, 4-1, and 6-2.
