Huskies Fall to Nittany Lions in Wrestling
BLOOMSBURG—The sixth-rank Penn State Nittany Lion
wrestling won the first nine bouts of the night to beat Bloomsburg University,
41-3, on Friday night in front of packed house of 2,374 fans at the Nelson Field
House.
Penn State used back-to-back falls at 133 and 141 to race out to a 15-0 and were
never threatened. The Huskies lone win came at 197 pounds when Richard
Perry (Meriden, CT, Middletown) posted a 7-4 win over Justin Ortega.
Bloomsburg goes to 3-1 with the loss, while Penn State goes to 1-0 for the
season. The Huskies are back in action Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Navy Classic.
