Northern Illinois 22 Lock Haven 16

DeKALB, Ill. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team (3-5) fell to Northern Illinois (6-4) 22-16 today on the road.

The Bald Eagles are coming off a 38-6 loss to No. 7 Illinois on Saturday.

Lock Haven won four bouts today and jumped out to a 10-0 lead after winning the first three bouts of the afternoon.

Owen Wilkinson (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) put LHU up 4-0 thanks to a major decision after the match started at 149.

Back-to-back wins by Aaron Fry (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) and Seth Creasy (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) had Lock Haven up 10-0 three bouts in.

The Haven's fourth win of the day came at 184 after Fred Garcia (Donara, Pa./Ringgold) pinned Shane Rosenberry.

The Bald Eagles will kick off Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action next Friday, January 13 at 7 p.m. at
